Make a Difference at the Shetland Hyperbaric Centre

Volunteering at the Shetland Hyperbaric Centre is a great way to get involved in the local community, meet new people and support an important service.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the centre. Some volunteers will help operate the hyperbaric chamber itself, with full training provided.

We also need friendly faces to welcome visitors, help explain what happens during a session, and assist people getting into and out of the chamber. Sometimes it’s simply about helping people feel relaxed, comfortable and looked after.

Whether you’re chatting with visitors over a cup of tea, helping someone feel at ease before a session, or learning new skills as part of the team, every role makes a real difference.

No previous experience is needed — just a positive attitude and a willingness to help.

If you’d like to be part of a friendly team supporting people across Shetland, we’d love to hear from you.
