What We Offer

What we offer
Stage One

Before opening  the Centre with a fully operational pressurised Hyperbaric Chamber, we hope to initially offer oxygen therapy outside the chamber, using portable 10 litre oxygen concentrators similar to the one in the photo.

This machine works by drawing in regular room air  (containing 21% oxygen) through a filter, which removes dust and other large particles.  It then separates the oxygen from the nitrogen in the air, the oxygen is concentrated to over 90%, and is fed through a tube to a face mask.  This substantially raises the amount of oxygen in the blood, which can help the body’s functions, and aid healing.

A session would last from 30minutes to 1 hour, and a donation of  £5 is invited.

What we offer
Stage Two

Shetland Hyperbaric Centre is refurbishing a disused chamber to bring vital hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to our community.

This reduces costly travel to mainland facilities and supports local health challenges including chronic illnesses and sports injuries.

A session will last 60 minutes, plus 15 minutes compressions an decompression either side, and the cost will be £25
